council clerks, runs from Friday 17th through to Sunday 19th October .
Our venue is the four-star Wokefield Park, set in 250 acres of beautiful golfing
parkland near Reading, three miles from the M4, Junction 11. We’re housed in
the state-of-the-art Executive Centre – promises to be another memorable event!
WHY ATTEND?
The conference provides a superb opportunity to:
- Keep technically up to date, and embrace the exciting challenges ahead
- Network with colleagues, whether familiar old faces or welcome first timers
- Share your views with senior people within our organisation and the sector
- Collect a Certificate of Attendance worth six CPD points
- Work hard, yet relax a little!
DRAFT AGENDA
This year we are putting together another forward-looking programme
with the ‘Empowerment’ White Paper and ‘Sustainable Communities’ - yet
it’s down-to-earth with Post Offices, flooding, eco-friendly initiatives and
Personal Skills Workshops. Something for everyone - your difficulty will be
choosing which sessions to attend!
ACCOMPANYING GUESTS
All accompanying guests will receive a Personal Welcome pack with local
maps and guides. On Saturday, the complimentary trip includes lunch and
a gift voucher – guests can choose pre-conference from Windsor Castle, the
Savill Gardens, Eton College, a ‘Living Rainforest’, or a Thames riverboat.
TIME TO RELAX
Other attractions include a giant games competition in the grounds on
Friday morning; an open day for smaller parishes on Saturday; evening
entertainment with local musicians and our traditional discos; and the annual
golf tournament on Thursday (email nick.riseley@woughton-pc.gov.uk).
