Looking at the employment lifecycle from recruitment to resignation, the course will ensure that you consider the key legal aspects and good practice in employing staff.

About the trainer:

Lis manages the SLCC Advisory Service and provides specialist employment advice to members.  She has been a clerk since 2003 and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and the Institute of Local Council Managers.  She is clerk to Rawdon Parish Council, a new urban parish in Leeds established in November 2012. Outside of work she is undertaking a part time PhD looking at localism and leadership in parish councils.
 

Delegate Fees:

If your Clerk attends, subsequent bookings for the same course from members of the council may attend at the member rate.

At a similar time you will also be sent a delegate list and joining instructions detailing the venue, parking, trainer and any other details relevant to the course.
