Council: Queen's Park Community Council
Salary: 15 hours per week. LC3 - NJC points 41-47 (£36,379 - £41,967 plus a London Allowance of £2,000 pro-rata) currently £15,559 - £17,824
Queen's Park Community Council - London's only parish council - is looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking individual to become its Chief Officer, supporting the 12 councillors in their efforts to improve the lives of people living in the area.
This is a new post which replaces the role of the former Director in a Council with masses of potential, working in a unique and diverse neighbourhood. The person appointed will be responsible for the procedural and financial aspects of the Council as well as being the line manager of the Community Development Officer; they will also lead the implementation of the Council’s Business Plan and future development.
The successful applicant will be dynamic, enthusiastic, practical and totally committed to making a difference in Queen's Park.You will need practical experience of working in a governance role, with a clear understanding of local government including democratic, political, legal and financial aspects.
Applicants need to hold a minimum of 5 GCSE’s A-C or equivalent and hold or be willing to achieve the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA).
