At its meeting earlier this week SLCC’s Board of Directors warmly received a detailed presentation by Chief Executive, Rob Smith, setting out his conclusions on the current health of the Society and priorities for future action. As part of Rob’s contract of employment he was tasked with presenting to the Board his initial conclusions after six months in office together with recommendations for future action in the next few years. The Board fully endorsed this direction of travel which entirely accorded with its own strategic priorities which had been encapsulated during an open discussion earlier in the day. The new proposals will now form the basis of the Big Plan for future action which Rob will be presenting to the membership at its National Conference near Hinckley, Leicestershire on 18th/19th October.
All members with a close interest in the future of the clerk’s profession and its professional body will want to be present to hear this presentation.
