The Register of Play Inspectors International (RPII) provides the UK's recognised and acknowledged independent Certificated Competence for safety inspection of children's play equipment in: Outdoor Play, Indoor Play or Inflatable Play. Play equipment inspection includes; Annual Safety Inspection & Reports, Post-installation Safety Inspection, Operational or Routine Inspections. Play providers have the benefit of RPII registered, examined and competence-certificated RPII Inspectors who meet strict criteria. Only RPII Annual Inspectors are examined, certificated and registered to conduct Annual Inspections and post-installation inspections. Their photo ID card will confirm them as Annual Inspectors. The RPII advises all council, local authority and local government officers and members to confirm that their annual inspections are being conducted by examined, certificated and registered RPII Annual Inspectors who are listed at: http://www.playinspectors.com This is important because obviously everyone involved as a play provider will want children to be safe however, beyond that and in the event of an accident H&SE inspectors and/or insurers may want to examine the annual safety inspection report and if has not been completed by an RPII Annual Inspector it may be deemed invalid.
