This new one hour webinar is a step by step guide aimed at clerks and RFOs who are filling in the AGAR for the first time.
Please note - This course is for clerks in England only

• Q&A – the National Finance Advisor will be on hand during the presentation to take any questions and provide further guidance

About the Trainer:

Yvonne Colverson
Like many Clerks, Yvonne Colverson fell into the profession after a varied career covering horticulture, customer service management, the care industry and time as a school bursar. Yvonne is currently Clerk to North Wingfield Parish Council in Derbyshire and now has 10 years’ experience in the sector.She acts as an Advisor within SLCC’s Advisory Service and also runs webinars to support students in achieving their ILCA qualification.

Crispin Taylor
Crispin is the SLCC’s National Finance Advisor, responsible for advising members, collectively and individually, on pensions, tax and other finance issues. Crispin is also the Society’s representative on the Joint Practitioners’ Advisory Group which is responsible for the Practitioners’ Guide for England.
Crispin spent 22 years in the Inland Revenue, later HM Revenue & Customs, including senior posts advising ministers and helping to draft legislation. He joined the local council sector in 2009 as Clerk to Yatton Parish Council in North Somerset and during his nine years there assisted the Council to qualify for the general power of competence and to re-accredit (twice) with Quality status. He was also until recently Secretary of SLCC Somerset Branch. Crispin has recently been appointed as Clerk to Newton St Loe Parish Council near Bath.
Crispin has watched every episode of Game of Thrones and believes it has many lessons relevant to the local council sector.
