Course Outline

In this unprecedented time, it has never been more important for councils to communicate effectively. This can be with local residents and businesses, at-risk groups and your teams.

Research has shown that many people looked to national news and government, rather than their local government websites for information about COVID-19. Now in this post-lock-down period, we can see that local information is vital to avoid localised lock-down and spring back the local economy.

It is now the time for reassurance and trust-building.

In this webinar we will discuss:

  • How to avoid personal overwhelm
  • What can we be saying to our communities and how to say it
  • How to build community trust
  • How to ‘check-in’ with your staff so it doesn’t feel like ‘checking-up’
  • Autumn and winter thinking and planning
