All local councils in England have a new External Auditor.
Smaller Authorities Audit Appointments Ltd (SAAA Ltd), the body that appoints external auditors for our sector, has completed a procurement exercise that means councils will have a new auditor for the 2017/18 financial year. An audit pack containing an instruction letter and the new Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) will be distributed to every local council in England by appointed external auditors towards the end of March 2018. If these are not received by the second week of April, then authorities should contact their appointed auditor.

This gives a list, county by county, the auditor for that county and how to contact that auditor. If you have any queries or concerns, you will need to contact SAAA using the contact details on the SAAA website.
