Freedom of Information: Parish Council acting as a trustee

The Information Commissioner's Office have published details of a recent case, which is a useful reminder that when a council acts in the capacity of trustee (in relation to property held in trust such as 1906 Act open spaces land, for example), it needs to distinguish between information it holds as a local authority and information its members hold as trustee; which is not therefore subject to the Freedom of Information.
