The Daily Telegraph reports that changes to England's planning policy could come into effect this summer. Steve Quartermain, the Government's Chief Planner, has told developers and lobby groups that ministers intend to publish a draft revised version of the National Planning Policy Framework by the end of March.
The letter adds that a final version will be published in the summer. This follows proposals in the Government's housing White Paper, which was made public in February 2017, and which promised that the Government was “giving councils and developers the tools they need to build more swiftly.”
