20 March 2025Lara Jacob PSLCC, our new Branch Empowerment Officer, has begun her first round of visits to SLCC branches. Over the course of a week, Lara has met and had valuable conversations with members and branch officers in Bedfordshire (alongside Michael King, SLCC Head of Policy and External Communications), Somerset, Surrey, and Northamptonshire. She’s also had a productive Teams meeting with the Cambridgeshire branch.
In addition, Rob Smith, SLCC Chief Executive, had the pleasure of attending The South West county officers’ meeting last week. The meeting provided valuable opportunities for collaboration and discussion of matters, including clerk recruitment, the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA), training, and how we can support and improve the sector in partnership.
