Changes to the Public Services Mapping Agreement (PSMA)

17 April 2020

It has been announced that from 1st April 2020 the Public Services Mapping Agreement (PSMA) will be replaced by the Public Services Geospatial Agreement (PSGA).

Members already with the scheme will be automatically re-registered, no action is necessary.

The PSMA was first introduced in 2011 and allows public sector organisations, including town and parish councils, in England and Wales access to Ordnance Survey mapping products. It is centrally funded for any eligible public sector body to access and use a selection of high-quality digital map products.

The new PGSA promises improved public sector services by providing easier access to new, richer data – benefiting activities ranging from streetlighting and flood risk management to road gritting.
