This ‘bite-sized’ webinar looks at what clerks and local councils can do when they consider a bad or unlawful planning decision has been made, including planning enforcement and planning appeals. It will explore:
- What is a breach of planning control
- Planning enforcement
- Planning Appeals
- Ombudsman
- The ‘Call-in’ of planning applications
- Judicial Review
- Other recourses that are available to local councils.
- The role of clerks and local councils in all of this
Course outline
This webinar will be led by Andrew Towlerton, National Planning Advisor to the Society of Local Council Clerks. A qualified planner, Andrew has worked in various senior planning roles in the public and private sectors. He is also a parish clerk so is familiar with local councils.
