Please note that this webinar is for those looking to undertake CiLCA in the near future. It is strongly recommended to attend this webinar prior to booking a place on the CiLCA training course and registering for the qualification (each of which have separate costs associated with them).

Webinar Overview

The aim of this 60-minute webinar is to help you understand the requirements of the qualification and what is expected of you as a CiLCA candidate.

The webinar is led by an experienced and well-qualified CiLCA trainer who will be able answer all of your questions.

  • Annotations

You will need to complete a CiLCA training needs analysis and return it to [email protected] prior to the webinar date.

Requirements

You should have:

  • Minimum of 12 months in your current post working in the sector
  • Achieved ILCA and ILCA to CiLCA or attended training for clerks run by your County Association
  • complete a Training Needs Analysis form for this webinar
  • You must have access to a computer/laptop in a location where you are not disturbed.

Attendance Requirements: It is advisable to contact your County Association in the first instance to find out if they provide a similar service as it is preferable to undertake CiLCA training locally.

About the Trainer

Elisabeth Skinner is a Senior Support Tutor for those undertaking the Community Governance qualifications delivered in partnership with De Montfort University and a CiLCA recognised trainer. After 22 years as a lecturer at the University of Gloucestershire as a Course Leader for the higher education qualification for clerks, Elisabeth was appointed the Academic Leader of the Society from 2012 – 2023, where she had overall responsibility for the SLCC qualifications.  On behalf of the Improvement & Development Board for the sector she helped to create CiLCA. She was awarded an MBE for her services to the local council sector in 2019.
