Anxiety is a future-based and natural part of our lives.
Our brains forge strong neuro pathways (like motorways) for the things we think about and dwell on most. When we experience anxiety and anxious thoughts, our brains take us down these mental motorways and we have to hack a new path through to stop ourselves from getting stuck endlessly ruminating on them.
In this interactive webinar, we’ll look at:
- What is anxiety? (Signs and symptoms)
- Noticing patterns and triggers – the first steps to managing anxiety
- How to identify your triggers, including questions to ask yourself
- Practical exercises to help you focus on the present (some of which will be demonstrated during the session)

About the Trainer
Beckie has worked as a parish clerk for the last nine years, serving three separate yet distinct Parish Councils. She has trained and is qualified as a Life Coach and Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) practitioner. Her work has been with adults and young people.
The COVID-19 pandemic—with restrictions and lockdowns—has added pressure to everyone at work, and personally. Many clerks work alone in a parish office or from home; this may have added to feelings of isolation and loneliness, which can have an adverse affect on mental health.
Beckie’s delivery during these practical, interactive sessions will provide top tips for maintaining mental well being, plus specific strategies for Clerks.
