Overview

One of the significant events to prepare for in the future, with an unknown date, is the passing of HM the Queen. Nationally, the State Mourning and Funeral plans have been prepared by the Earl Marshall, for a number of years and are regularly reviewed. Is your council ready for this major historic event, for which no date can be given and you will only get one chance to get it right? This webinar will look at the areas your council may wish to consider in making plans for Operation London Bridge.

From One Clerk To Another

A series hosted by clerks for clerks to help them gain further understanding, training and advice on various aspects of their jobs. By sharing experiences, creating a dialogue and demonstrating that clerks are not alone with various issues that have arisen throughout your career, it enables us to grow stronger in our profession. The aim of the sessions is to educate and raise awareness between clerks on a wide range of subjects; from daily skills, finance, communication & social media, communities, and emergency planning to name a few.

“I found the training very beneficial. Around here the District/Borough and County councils only shared information with larger towns, but not villages. The course will help me shape a policy and procedure tailored to my specific council and be prepared rather than waiting for the district’s “We will tell you what you need to do when the time comes”, freezing smaller communities out of the process. The handouts and materials are very useful, too.” Belina Boyer, Gainsborough Town Council
