This bite-sized webinar provides an introductory, or refresher training session, for clerks who wish to know more about Section 106 agreement and the Community Infrastructure Levy (collectively often known as planning obligations). It will also include any changes proposed to these by the Government as part of its reforms of the planning system.

The aim is to provide greater knowledge and understanding of the complex and changing world of planning obligations.

Planning obligations are a planning charge to help reduce the adverse impacts arising from development. It ensures that developers carry out or contribute financially towards infrastructure or services required by proposed developments, such as new schools, health facilities, affordable housing and open spaces.
