Overview

The webinars will help clerks to understand the key issues and techniques they need to influence town planning decisions in their areas.

The webinars will look at the town planning system from the perspective of parish and town councils. This is an excellent introduction to town planning and will give you the confidence to intervene at the right time and in the right way. The course covers the material from the parish perspective and does not focus on the details of the regulations. It takes a practical and pragmatic approach to a very challenging local council activity.

Who should attend?

This course is aimed at clerks who want to: negotiate on development schemes that are being prepared in their areas; respond to planning applications and seek modifications through planning conditions and obligations; influence emerging planning policy.
