Salary: SCP 13-17 £26,873 – £28,770 pro rata for part-time staff (Local Government pension available)

Meriden Parish Council is recruiting a part-time Deputy Parish Clerk to join its friendly, committed, high performing and flexible team.  The Council is looking for someone who will work under the direction of the Clerk and will support the Council to deliver projects and services to the local community.

This is an exciting and varied role and the successful applicant will provide administrative and financial support to the Parish Council to ensure the efficient running of the Parish Office, have a can-do and flexible attitude, use their own initiative to carry out the responsibilities required in the role with minimal supervision and lead by example.

A Certificate in Local Council Administration is desirable but not essential, there will be a requirement to attain this qualification within an agreed time period. All training will be provided and supported.

The successful applicant must consent to a DBS check as the role involves working with community groups with vulnerable adults.
