Ledbury is a Historic Town situated to the North of Hereford with a population of circa 10,000.  In 2020/21 the town council requested a precept of £531,978.

We own and manage a cemetery which is approximately 10 acres in size, the council offices and the Market House (both listed buildings).

We have also recently adopted two telephone kiosks and are responsible for the upkeep of the War Memorial, which is also listed.

We own and maintain the recreation ground, which consists of a skate park, two play areas, a shelter and large open space. We also own and maintain a number of small parcels of land around the town.

The Accounts/Burial Clerk post is a newly created position within the council and the successful candidate will report to the Town Clerk/RFO. The position is office based, however during the pandemic staff have been able to work from home, attending the office on occasion. Full training will be given on the Rialtas Omega System.

Ledbury Town Council are signed up to the National Joint Council Terms and Conditions and as an employee of Ledbury Town Council, you would be able to join the Local Government Pension Scheme and would receive 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to 26 days after five-years’ service), continuous service would apply.
