Position: Assistant Town Clerk (Finance, Governance and Administration)

Location: Kingswood, South Gloucestershire

Job type: Between 15 and 18 hours per week dependent on applications circumstances and to be confirmed on offer.  This is a permanent role, on a flexible basis, subject to a six month probation period.

Salary: SCP 18 to 25, £29,260 to £32,076 plus Local Government Pension Scheme

This is a brand-new role in a brand-new council, and an exciting opportunity to help drive forward our vision, to make Kingswood a great place for people to grow up and grow old.  We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic finance and administration professional who will share our commitment and belief in the unique potential of our town. This role will be responsible for the council’s finances, supporting the town clerk who is the Responsible Financial Officer, and working with a small, friendly council team, with other stakeholders and a thriving voluntary sector in Kingswood.
