Position: Assistant Town Clerk

Location: Kingswood, South Gloucestershire

Job type: Full time, permanent, hybrid working, brand new role.

Salary: SCP 24 to 28 £33,314 to £37,938 plus Local Government Pension Scheme

Closing date: Friday 11 July 2025 (3pm).

About us

This is a brand-new role in a three-year-old council and an exciting opportunity to help drive forward our vision, to make Kingswood a great place.  The team of staff needs to increase to realise the vision of the council.  Currently the council does not have any assets or a physical base, but that is changing.  We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic professional who will share our commitment and belief in the unique potential of our town. This role will be responsible for a wide range of operational matters, but specifically in relation to the Planning Committee and matters related to public realm (street furniture) and assisting with a project to acquire a public building.
