On the retirement of the current Town Clerk an exciting opportunity has arisen to lead our progressive Town Council in the attractive historic town of Bradford on Avon. 

The Council seeks to appoint to the new role of Chief Executive and Town Clerk someone who can bring drive, vision, commitment, strong leadership and build positive working relationships with councillors, staff and partner organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

You may already be a Chief Executive/Town Clerk or Deputy with experience in local government or a member of a senior management team looking to bring your skills and experience to a new role.   

You should be CiLCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration) trained or be prepared to be within one year.

Hours of work: 37 hours per week/permanent to include evening meetings and very occasional weekend working.

Salary: LC4/up to £60,000.
