West Bletchley Council is seeking to recruit a Clerk to replace the current postholder when they retire this year.
In addition to acting as the Council’s Chief Advisor and Responsible Financial Officer the Clerk is responsible for overseeing the management of all council functions and services.
Serving a local population of over 23,000 residents, with an annual budget of over £1 million, the Council provides a range of facilities and services and is committed to working with partners and the local community to improve quality of life within the parish. The Council considers itself to be a leading local council with Quality Gold Status and the General Power of Competence.
Applicants will need to be CILCA qualified with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working as the responsible financial officer for a town, parish or community council. A sound knowledge of current local government legislation is essential along with a proven track record of securing improvements in functions and/or services.
