This is a great opportunity for someone with a proven track record in local government work and previous experience in managing a small team of staff.

The ideal person would be CiLCA qualified and have some experience of managing council property/land assets as well as administrating a programme of strong community alliances and close partnerships through a busy events calendar and ongoing project work. The council holds the General Power of Competence and would like this to continue.

This role requires someone who has a robust, positive outlook to what is a varied and diversified job and who is not afraid to focus their attention on pragmatic solutions to issues. You will need to have strong administration skills as well as the ability to communicate at all levels and you will need to have up to date, competent IT skills. There is a finance officer in place but you will need to be familiar with accounting practices in a supervisory capacity. The work will involve evening meetings and occasional weekend duties.

We offer flexible hours of work (the ideal candidate would be someone who could commit to between 30 – 37 hours per week) and can talk about home working for part of the week.
