Job Title: Community Council Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.

Council Name: Cwarter Bach Community Council.

County: Carmarthenshire.

Salary: LC2 Fixed within SCP 18-28 of the NALC Clerks Scale (Pro rata and based on experience and qualifications relevant to the post)

Hours of work: 20 hours per week during the probationary first 6 months and thereafter reviewed in line with the needs of the Council to manage its responsibilities.

About the post

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and committed individual to work with the Council, which is determined to forge a new relationship with its electorate during these challenging times. The Council has committed itself to making a success of the recent transfer of recreational assets from the County Council. These assets include several parks (with playing fields), changing facilities and play areas. The successful candidate will need to be able to develop relationships with the voluntary sector, grant funding bodies and the higher tiers of local government and Welsh government.

The successful candidate will ideally have a wide experience of local government and a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CiLCA) or be willing to work towards one. Excellent verbal and written skills in both Welsh and English are essential.
