Salary: NJC SCP 17 – 21 £24,491 to £26,511, (2021 NJC pay rise pending)

Grade: NJC SCP 17 – 21 £24,491 to £26,511, (2021 NJC pay rise pending) plus annual pay rise as awarded by the NJC and Local Government Pension Scheme
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Leave Entitlement: 22 days per annum, plus two statutory days, plus public holidays.
Responsible to: Town Clerk
We are looking for someone with administrative experience to join a team that:
- Organises and supports all meetings of the council, committees, forums and working parties to ensure they function in accordance with statutory and constitutional requirements
- Provides an effective and efficient administrative support service for other meetings and decision making processes.
You must have a sound understanding of local government as you will prepare agendas, reports, and minutes, organise meetings and respond to correspondence. Experience of supporting formal meetings is required.
Working as part of a small, friendly team in a challenging and stimulating environment, you will be organised, accurate and able to work under pressure to pre-determined deadlines. You will be confident and tactful in dealing with elected members and senior officers and be able to think logically and plan ahead. You will also have an excellent standard of written English and be competent using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and be able to learn new programmes.
