Leicestershire and Rutland CALC provides member services to parish and town councils across the two counties. As part of the Association’s commitment to improving the first tier of local government we have an immediate vacancy for someone to join our small busy team as Deputy Chief Executive with specific oversight of training and advice services to member councils.
There will also be responsibilities for other key areas of LRALC service delivery, as well as working closely with and deputising for the Chief Executive.
You should have:

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Proven organisation, planning and time management skills

This exciting new role is a permanent position and will be a key role in helping the Association to continue to develop and grow its business activities following our transition to a limited company in April 2018. The post comes with attractive terms and conditions, including a work place pension.
The post holder will normally be required to work 30 hours per week (potential to become full-time), including semi-regular evening and occasional weekend working.
