Located in south west Essex, Waltham Abbey Town Council operates a wide range of facilities and has a budget of £1.3m, and holds the Local Councils Award at Quality Gold standard.

We are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic person to join this small team. This full-time demanding role is primarily in the financial/accounting field, including budget setting and monitoring and other financial and administrative functions. The candidate should have an interest in Social Media and Communications. The candidate should also have experience of local government, finance and committee work, and hold the CiLCA or be willing to achieve within a year.

Salary scale point 26 – 28, (£29,636 – £31,371) plus outer London weighting and Local Government Pension Scheme.
