Environmental Project Officer

Salary: £27,344 to £31,099 SCP 18-24 (pay award pending)

An interesting and rewarding position has become available with Corsham Town Council. The overall job purpose is to influence, facilitate, communicate and carry out projects that will result in a lower carbon footprint for Corsham parish area. This work will include delivering a climate change action plan and biodiversity action plan to enhance our natural environment.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with the community in areas such as waste minimisation, energy efficiency, reducing private car journeys, renewable energy generation and biodiversity projects.

The postholder will progress the Town Council’s Carbon Reduction Plan and provide support for the Environment Task Group.

This is a full-time post (37 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm Mondays-Thursdays and 9am to 4.30pm Fridays.

Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
