Salary Scale LC3 above substantive (SCP 42 – 45, £44,632 to £47,896), (pay award pending) – plus qualification increments

Lancing Parish Council is committed to taking a lead role in the future development of the community in partnership with others. This is a particularly exciting time to join us following a recent extensive review of all that we do. We currently provide a wide range of community facilities including a centre piece Parish Hall, parks, recreation and sports facilities, open spaces, allotments, a nature reserve pocket parks, car parks, the seafront and beach huts. The council is looking to implement its Business Plan and to engage in range of partnerships with the community and public sector partners across a wide range of economic, community and service delivery opportunities.

We are seeking a high calibre individual, who shares our values of community service, to lead our dedicated staff team and to work actively with elected members. The key objectives of this post are to be a strategic thinker, develop existing services, to successfully deliver an exciting programme of devolution from our principal councils, and to ensure that the council’s governance is to the highest possible standard.

We invite applicants who have a demonstrable track record in leadership,  service achievement and innovation, who are community focussed, and who possess sound strategic managerial, communication and organisational skills.
