Executive Officer/Clerk

We are looking for a proactive person with considerable administration and organisational skills, however we also need an excellent manager, leader, innovator and ambassador to partner our elected members in delivering their strategy.
You will be determined that the council meets local government best practice standards and will ensure the efficient and effective implementation of council decisions. You will attend meetings with the chairman and ideally you will be at least CiLCA qualified or prepared to study for the qualification.

The Executive Officer is supported by a strong team consisting of Responsible Financial Officer, Deputy Clerk, Committee Clerk and Head Groundsman and team. The burial ground, sports facilities and green spaces are all managed by the parish council.
Denmead is the second largest village within the Winchester City Council district, we have a ‘made’ Neighbourhood Plan with ambitions of building a new Multi User Sports Area and Village Hall in the next couple of years. Pride in the village is strong and the parish council are fundamental in delivering the services that make the village an amazing place to live and work.
