Long Ashton Parish Council is looking for a resourceful and experienced individual to help us achieve our vision for the future.

We are a progressive, ambitious council engaging with our community of 6,000 residents to develop environmentally and financially sustainable local services and a resilient, inclusive community. The parish includes the villages of Long Ashton and Leigh Woods, both very close to Bristol but within a rural setting.  The current precept is £187,250.

As Parish Clerk, you will be the Proper Officer and Responsible Financial Officer, assisting the council in making and implementing decisions, managing a small team of staff, and engaging with residents. Ideally you will hold CiLCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration) or equivalent, or be willing to achieve it soon after appointment, and you will have some experience of local authority and of managing people. This is a full-time post and involves some evening work and occasional travel.
