Selborne Parish Council is recruiting for a Parish Clerk and RFO for an active and busy Parish Council. The Council are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with good interpersonal skills and a community focus. Essential skills are in IT, finance, and administration. Training can be given in our accounting software.

The Council are keen to support ongoing training but ideally looking for a Clerk/RFO with previous experience in the role and/or CILCA qualified (or willing to become qualified within 6 months).

The Council has a small office available in Selborne to be occupied one day per week, as part of the 18 hours required for this role, but otherwise this is a flexible working from home role. The Clerk provides the full range of Parish Council responsibilities to Selborne Parish Council and its three rural villages, Selborne, Oakhanger and Blackmoor.

Parish Council meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month with a separate Planning Committee meeting. Other additional meetings are held occasionally.

The Council is offering 23 days holiday per year (pro rata), enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme and a working from home allowance.
