Wetherby Town Council is seeking to appoint a new Town Clerk to manage the Council’s services and its staff and take on the pivotal role of ensuring the Council’s provision of amenities and services continues to move forward.

The Town Clerk is at the heart of the council’s decision-making process and makes a tangible difference to the future prosperity of Wetherby and the wellbeing of the people of the town.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate clear leadership abilities and a sound understanding of this sector of local government and the opportunities which lie ahead. Strong governance and financial management skills, sound business acumen and the ability to provide strategic direction and project delivery are essential.

You will also need to maintain a wide range of positive working relationships with councillors, staff, contractors and partner organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
