Last week saw over 120 delegates come together for the virtual Leadership in Action (LIA) 2021. Held over two days, LIA is the premier event for those already or aspiring to be in a leadership role.
The intensive two-day event featured sessions on resilience, negotiation, creative collaboration, managing meetings effectively, mental health in leadership and the new model Code of Conduct. A leadership thinktank session split delegates into smaller breakout rooms discussing issues which included supporting cultural services, councillor behaviour, developing local partnerships and Operation London Bridge and the resulting feedback session in the afternoon reflected the wealth of experience and knowledge of those present.
Positive feedback now in from attendees rated the relevancy of the content at the event 4 out of 5 stars and the virtual format remains popular, allowing many delegates to attend for the first time.
