Rob Smith, SLCC Chief Executive, and Michael King, SLCC Head of Policy and External Communications, attended a virtual meeting with the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) last week, to explore emerging community engagement ideas. The discussion touched upon the importance of meaningful engagement with town and parish councils in relation to the English Devolution White Paper. They also considered whether the current legislative framework effectively supports local community involvement.
