National Living Wage to increase by 6.2% in April

The National Living Wage will increase by 6.2% in what the Government has said is the “biggest cash increase ever”. The increase is four times the current rate of inflation.

From April 2020 the revised rates will be:

The National Living Wage for anyone aged 25 and over – £8.72 per hour – a rise of 6.2%

The National Minimum Wage for 21 – 24 year olds, up 6.5% to £8.20 per hour.

18 – 20 years old, an increase of 4.9% to £6.45 per hour.

For under 18’s, up 4.6% to £4.55 per hour.

And for apprentices up 6.4% to £4.15 per hour.
