National Model Design Code Pilot Programme

27 June 2022

A government sponsored report looking at the Model Design Code pilot programme reveals that “A steep learning curve is required to produce design codes” and “there seems to be significant potential for neighbourhood planning groups to take on a role in the preparation of neighbourhood or site level design guides/codes”.

Further information and a copy of the report can be viewed at National Model Design Code Pilot Programme Phase 1: lessons learned.
