11 June 2025SLCC’s Northumberland Branch celebrated Local Council Clerk Week (LCCW) at their branch meeting today. Lara Jacob PSLCC, SLCC’s Branch Empowerment Officer, was also in attendance. Lara said: ‘Amongst our number today was a young man currently undertaking work experience with Hexham Town Council. Clerks around the table were keen to emphasise the rewards of the profession and showcase the qualification pathway a school leaver can tap into. Nine out of ten clerks said they wish they had joined the profession sooner.’
