Potholes spark fall in cyclist numbers

The Sunday Times reports that Sport England has warned that cyclists are abandoning the roads, deterred by potholes, accidents and abuse from motorists, with 355,000 fewer people regularly riding to work or for leisure. The body highlighted a “significant” decrease in the number of women commuting by bike, and the number of men cycling for leisure.
