A big thanks to everyone who took the time to give us feedback on Practitioners’ Conference this year. Over 90% of respondents said that they will attend another SLCC event with a similar number reporting that they found it beneficial to both themselves and their council.
It is great to see that over 63% attending cited CPD as their main reason which is indicative of the drive to raise professional standards within the local council sector. Feedback on the programme content this year is very positive and clearly an important factor in the decision to attend more SLCC events (according to nearly 70% of respondents).
Going forward suggestions include sessions on devolution, climate change, HR and health and safety – as well as calls for Paul McGee, the Sumo Guy, to make a return!
From your comments, it is clear that the opportunity to network with other local council professionals at events such as this, is invaluable. The chance to meet face to face with exhibitors is also much appreciated with positive feedback from 83% of respondents.
It is encouraging that over 90% of attendees found their overall experience of Practitioners’ 2020 ‘good’or ‘excellent’. There is always room for improvement and we strive to offer the best experience for members, which is why your feedback is so important.
Bookings for the 2021 Conference which will be held on Thursday 25th & Friday 26th February 2021 at Chesford Grange, Kenilworth will open soon.
