9 April 2021It has been announced in a statement from Buckingham Palace that His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.

Linda Larter MBE FSLCC, SLCC President expressed her condolences, ‘I wish to convey my deepest sympathies and those of SLCC to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family at this very sad time. Prince Philip did so much for our country and leaves an incredible legacy having supported charities across the UK and founding the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme which has inspired so many young people for more than 60 years. It really is the end of an era and may he rest in peace.’
