The National Youth Agency (NYA) would like to remind you that the deadline for completing your National Youth Sector Census return is 30 April.
Those working in the youth sector know that youth work transforms lives, but we need to be able to show where youth work is taking place – in every setting whether village hall, after school club or out on the street.
The Census is a powerful tool to help the NYA make a compelling case for more investment in preventative solutions which embed the skills of youth workers. Since it was launched, more than 2,300 organisations have completed returns, but we know that many youth clubs are still falling beneath the radar.
With the prospect of a National Youth Strategy and new programmes such as the Young Futures Programmes on the horizon, its important every organisation delivering youth work completes the Census so that we have the most accurate data and insights to inform these plans.
By completing the Census, you will:
- increase your visibility to government, commissioners and prospective partners who might benefit from your expertise / services.
- help demonstrate a need for increased provision and help get more funding flowing into your area.
- help update the interactive digital map of current youth work provision which will be used by policymakers, MPs and other others to understand the picture of youth work provision in your area.
How do I complete it?
- It only takes 15 minutes to complete and registering is simple.
- The Census page provides a range of resources including:
