ERNLLCA has an exciting vacancy for a new chief officer who will lead the Association’s dedicated staff team to provide a range of support services for its member councils in the East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, and North-East Lincolnshire.

The successful candidate will have a hands-on role and you will have a good understanding of local government, together with detailed knowledge of the governance and functioning of parish and town councils. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively is essential to the success of the role. You will be responsible for the delivery of ERNLLCA’s popular training programme and encouraged to develop new opportunities. Experience of managing people, preparing budgets and strong IT skills will be essential.

This is a permanent position based at the ERNLLCA office in Barton upon Humber, where you will manage the staff team. You will be accountable to the Executive Committee with which you will work to further develop the services provided for member councils and seek out new revenue generation opportunities.

The post is for 30 hours per week, with the need for some evening working. Travelling across the ERNLLCA area, and beyond, is an element of the post. This post is offered at NJC scale point 34 (pay award pending) and a contributory pension scheme is provided.
